Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP) affects many people with diabetes. The PROGRESS study is currently exploring the effectiveness of an investigational drug called LX9211 to help treat this condition. LX9211 is a new type of investigational drug called an AP2-associated protein kinase 1 inhibitor (AAK1 inhibitor).

Fractyl Health’s medical device Revita® targets the small intestine to improve glucose control.

It would be used like a catheter in an outpatient endoscopic procedure, resurfacing the lining of the upper intestine. Clinical findings suggest that treatment with Revita may decrease insulin resistance, improve glucose control, lower weight, and reduce liver fat.
